A 0–100 readiness score
One number for how prepared your site is for AI search, weighted across every signal.
A signal-by-signal check
Bot access, llms.txt, schema, sitemap, headings and more, each passed, flagged or failed.
Scored by category
See where you're strong and where you're weak across AI access, understanding and technical.
AI can't recommend a site it can't read.
Before ChatGPT or Perplexity can name you, they have to crawl, parse and understand your site. This checks whether the plumbing is in place, and where it leaks.
One score, broken down by what AI can access, understand and trust.
Checks what AI actually needs
Bot access, llms.txt, schema, sitemap, headings, readability, the concrete signals that decide whether AI can use your site.
Real checks, not guesses
Every signal is fetched live from your site. Nothing is estimated, so the score reflects your actual setup.

How to get your site ready for AI search.
The score shows where you stand. This is how to move it, the plain-English playbook for AI readiness.
Why AI readiness is its own thing
Ranking on Google and being usable by an AI assistant overlap, but they aren't the same. AI models crawl, parse and summarise your site to answer questions, and they can only recommend a page they were able to reach and understand. If your robots.txt blocks their crawler, or your content is buried in JavaScript with no structure, you're invisible to them no matter how you rank.
AI readiness is the check on that plumbing: can the models get in, and can they make sense of what they find?
The signals that matter most
Start with access: make sure robots.txt doesn't block the AI crawlers you want to be cited by (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, PerplexityBot), and that you expose a sitemap. Then help them understand: add JSON-LD structured data, a clear title and description, one H1 with a sensible heading hierarchy, and readable copy. An llms.txt file tops it off with a plain-text map of your site.
None of these guarantees a citation, models still weigh quality and relevance, but missing them can rule you out before you're even considered.
How to close the gaps
Work top-down: fix anything blocking access first, then add the understanding signals, then polish the technical basics. Re-run the test after each change to confirm the score moves.
- 1Unblock the AI crawlers you want in robots.txt
- 2Publish a sitemap.xml and an llms.txt
- 3Add JSON-LD schema for your key pages
- 4Fix titles, descriptions and heading structure
- 5Tighten copy so it's clear and easy to parse
