Ghost Integration

Publish every article straight to your Ghost site, on Ghost(Pro) or self-hosted, with the full article, cover image, slug, meta description and keyword tag. It connects with an Admin API key, so there is nothing to install.

1. Create an Admin API key in Ghost

  • Open your Ghost admin at https://yoursite.com/ghost (on Ghost(Pro), yourname.ghost.io/ghost).
  • Go to Settings → Integrations → Add custom integration, name it SEOLadders and create it.
  • Copy the Admin API Key (it looks like id:secret). Not the Content API key: that one is read-only.

2. Connect in SEOLadders

  • Open Settings → CMS Integration → Ghost.
  • Paste your site URL (for example https://yourname.ghost.io) and the Admin API Key.
  • Click Test connection. It should name your Ghost site. Then save.

Auto-publish is on by default

New connections publish articles live. Choose Draft as the default post status if you would rather review each one in Ghost first.

Republishing an article updates the same Ghost post in place, so its URL stays the same. Its published or draft status is left as it is.

Troubleshooting

  • “Invalid Admin API key” — copy the full Admin API Key including the colon, not the Content API key.
  • “Ghost Admin API not found” — check the site URL. Use the address your Ghost admin lives at, without /ghost on the end.
